Corp. Frank G. Hager

Corporal Frank Hager enlisted in the 27th Regiment, Company H of the Missouri Infantry on April 12, 1861 and was honorably discharged on October 22, 1864.
The 27th was organized at St. Louis, MO on September 2, 1862. It did duty at Rolla, MO until March 1, 1863 where it then was ordered to join the Army of Tennessee before Vicksburg, Tennessee and later participated at the Siege of Vicksburg. The 27th participated in many campaigns. It was mustered out June 13, 1865 and companies F, G, and I were transferred to the Consolidated Battalion 31st and 32nd Missouri Infantry.
The 27th Regiment Mounted Infantry was organized in Missouri at large from May to November 1861. They participated in the siege and surrender of Lexinton, Missouri September 11-20 and recapture of Lexington on October 16th. It was mustered out January 27 to February 28, 1862.
